Sir Richard has been sent on the crusades to desecrate holy places of power for the pagan people. He has been taught that they are heathens. Worshipers of the dark arts, and the holy places must be destroyed to bring them to the “Light.”
What he finds instead after collapsing at a sacred healing pool is Goddess who heals him despite knowing he may well be her doom. Who’s innate goodness shows that he has been deceived by those in power and promises to back her and her people onto death…and beyond.
