Boy on May Day, I really miss living in Hawaii. There used to be free concerts, lots of hula dancing, and flowers EVERYWHERE!

In the middle of the desert, I’ll be celebrating the May Day by shoveling gravel, lol. Oh and transplanting tomatoes. My greenhouse is really growing well, and that always makes me happy.

However you celebrate May Day, bring a little traditional passion into your life. May Day (or Beltane as the ancients called it) celebrates spring, growth, renewal. Passion, life, and new beginnings. Wether you plant flowers, watch a child grow, or make love with your special someone, celebrate passion, love, and new life today!

I think I’m starting to drive my husband crazy, lol. Now that I have a greenhouse, I want to fill it up with plants. With prices of rice going through the roof, I decided it might be a good idea to grow a starch for us, so I picked yellow yukon potatoes to grow. I’ll have a row outside the greenhouse of these delicious veggies, and they are supposed to mature in only 77 days, so potatoes will be ready soon YUM!

I also picked up seeds for a purple bell pepper. I’ve never seen them in the store, but the reviews sound good, and they seem to be very prolific as far as production, so I’m pretty happy on that.

Working on another new site for women too while seed shopping, so I’ll be putting a post up in the next day or so with links for that.

I have been working on and off on a greenhouse now for a year, and my husband and I FINALLY got the it up and running. Whoo hoo! It has been a LOT of work, but being a vegetarian, I'm looking forward to growning a lot of my own veggies.
